Abstract: This book is a collaborative project that aims to record and analyze the ways in which the Syrian community in the occupied Golan Heights resisted Israeli occupation and annexation and preserved its sense of Syrian identity. The book is multidisciplinary and includes theoretical framings of state and capitalist power, and popular politics. It also includes rich in ethnographic material and reflections by activists and students from the Golan and Palestine. BZU scholars and MA students contributed to the book along colleagues from LSE and the Golan Heights.
