Abstract: We present an approximate analytic solution to the time-dependent Schroidinger equation of a charged harmonic oscillator in the presence of a strong laser field, based upon the technique advanced recently by Prasca The resulting wavefunction is then used to Wave expressions for the survival probability of the ground state and the probability of transition to an arbitrary higher state.
