Abstract: The project “Exploring Music and Song among Palestinians” was from the outset meant to achieve two major goals: developing and publishing an edited volume of research essays on Palestinian music and song, and establishing a platform for a permanent world-wide network of scholars and music composers and performers interested in investigating various aspects of Palestinian music and song within the context of Palestinian politics, society and culture. For this purpose, and for facilitating continuous collaborative communication between the contributors to the anthology, the project’s management committee launched a website on the internet through which contributors could read and discuss each other’s papers and exchange ideas, thoughts, comments and advises.
