Abstract: European, Arab, and Turkish researchers worked for 2 years on research in six southern and eastern Mediterranean countries, funded by the European Union’s (EU’s) Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. This project allowed researchers from these countries to explore and analyse their peoples’ situation in times of turbulent changes. It also created potential collaboration within various research teams and between researchers and their European counterparts in these six countries.
