Abstract: Synchronization of a control signal with grid voltage on the basis of zero crossing is not convenient in digital control systems because of disturbances causing multicrossing of zero and additional hardware required for detection. A new method of synchronization to AC networks for phase controlled rectifiers or for front-end rectifiers is presented in this article. All theoretical dependencies are also included.
