Title: A short religious history of Israel
Authors: Hamond, Ernest William
Keywords: Judaism - History
Issue Date: 1932
Publisher: Student Christian Movement Press
Abstract: This book is an attempt by the writer to apply the legends of the Old Testament to the archaeological and historical discoveries made in the Holy Land during the first two decades of the 20th century. Relying on his beliefs in God, and the teachings of the old Testament, the writer combines the religious knowledge of the Holy Book to the realities of history “… Thus in prose and poetry, parable and story, prophecy and vision, folklore and history, we are able to discern the slowly unfolded purpose of God.”
