Fifty-eight water samples, collected from 46 swimming pools, were examined for Coliforms and bacterial species including Streptococci, Salmonellae, and Staphylococcus. Salmonellae were isolated in 21 out of 23 samples. All of the examined samples from the swimming pools water were unacceptable according to the Palestinian and WHO standards. Extensive efforts are required to improve the water quality of the swimming pools in the West Bank, mainly public awareness, training of governmental inspectors, operators and owners of the swimming pools, in addition to a strict system for monitoring of the water quality. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11889/7783 | DOI: | 10.1080/0960312021000063278 |
