This study aims to calculate the parameters of Weibull distribution based on a simple numerical analysis method. Two numerical analyses methods; Empirical Method (EM) and Method of Moments (MOM) are compared in this research based on the simplicity of the numerical analysis. Wind speed data was measured and analysed from January 2014 to December 2015 in Ashqelon city, Palestine as a sample of actual data. Based on the shape factor “k” and scale factor “c” the probability distribution curve can be determined to estimate the potential of wind energy. Moreover, it can be used in selecting the best location for installing wind turbine generators.en_US
