Title: | 14. GI/ITG KuVS Fachgespr ach Sensornetze | Authors: | Awad, Abdalkarim | Keywords: | Wireless sensor networks | Issue Date: | 2015 | Abstract: | We present a prototype implementation for autonomous sensor network deployment. The utilized deployment algorithm considers two conflicting goals: (1) maximizing the coverage area while (2) maintaining good multi-hop connectivity from sensor nodes to a data sink. In an interdisciplinary research project we have built tiny sensor nodes fitting into bionic winged seeds that can be deployed with a flying drone. We had a couple of successful test flights with 15 nodes deployed on a soccer field. In this work we present these preliminary results as a proof of concept to demonstrate the principal applicability of the system | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11889/4557 |
