Abstract: Published two years after the start of the Lebanese Civil War, Khoury's second novel, Little Mountain, has become a reference point f host of novels depicting this conflict that lasted from 1975 to 1990, no which are part of what is now known as Lebanese Civil War literature. novel is also emblematic of the fragmentary narrative style for which ma Khoury's novels are known. The novel's fragmentariness is most evident i repetitive structure, which becomes apparent from the narrative's outset w the narrator recalls the Beirut neighborhood.
