Abstract: The concentration of heavy metals were investigated in roadside surface soil and the common perennial herb Inula , samples were collected at different distances perpendicular to a main road that connects two main cities in the West Bankm results shawed that roadside contamination was obvious by the significant negative correlation between concentration of metals in soil and plant samples and distance from the road edge
